Procida can only be reached by sea: from Naples by hydrofoil or ferry, from Pozzuoli by ferry. Where to leave from, how long the crossing takes and what to do with your car.

From Naples: hydrofoil or ferry
In Naples the two piers are close to each other. Hydrofoils leave from Molo Beverello, about 45 minutes; ferries from Calata Porta di Massa, about an hour. The companies are Caremar and SNAV. You reach Molo Beverello by metro, getting off at Municipio.

From Pozzuoli: the shortest crossing
Only ferries leave from Pozzuoli, and it is the shortest and cheapest crossing: about 35 minutes. Caremar, Medmar and Gestour sail this route. From Naples to Pozzuoli take the Cumana train from Montesanto or metro Line 2.

From Ischia and other ports
Procida is also connected with Ischia and Monte di Procida. If you are staying on Ischia, Procida is an easy day trip. Companies and timetables on these routes change with the season: check the official websites before you travel.
By car: leave it on the mainland
In 2026, from 30 March to 15 October, cars, motorbikes and mopeds belonging to non-residents may not be landed or driven on the island, except for exempt or authorised categories. If you come by car, leave it before boarding: near Pozzuoli port there are attended car parks a few steps from the pier, and in Naples garages around the port. In summer it is worth booking a space.
Marina Grande
Arriving at Marina Grande
Ferries and hydrofoils arrive at Marina Grande. Right in front of the landing are the stops of the local buses to the main parts of the island. A few steps away, at Via Roma 120, you find our e-bike and electric scooter rental and the luggage storage.

Take the metro to Municipio, near Molo Beverello.
To Pozzuoli
From Naples take the Cumana train from Montesanto or metro Line 2 to Pozzuoli.
Travel tips
- Check timetables and tickets on the company website the day before: they change with the season.
- From Pozzuoli the crossing is the shortest and cheapest.
- If you come by car, leave it on the mainland and book parking in summer.
- On the way back, vehicles and luggage go back to the port by 7pm.
