Times are a suggestion for travellers arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening: shift them to fit your ferry. Leg times are by e-bike; by electric scooter they are shorter.

    Arrival at Marina Grande

    Ferries and hydrofoils arrive at Marina Grande port. A few steps away, at Via Roma 120, you leave your suitcase in storage and pick up your e-bike: the tour starts here.

    Terra Murata and the Abbey

    Ride up to the highest point of the island, 91 metres: the fortified village of Terra Murata, with the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo and Palazzo d'Avalos. It is the right stop for the morning, before the heat.

    Lunch at Corricella

    Below Terra Murata lies the fishing village of colourful houses. You walk down to the little harbour, so lock your bike at the top. Try the lemon salad, made with Procida's own lemon.

    Beach time at Chiaiolella and Ciraccio

    Cross the island to the west side: Marina di Chiaiolella and Ciraccio beach are the stop for an afternoon swim. The bridge to Vivara, a state nature reserve, starts from the same area.

    Back to the port

    Ride back to Marina Grande: return the e-bike and collect your suitcase by 7pm, when we close. The pier is a couple of steps away.

    The evening ferry

    The time of the last sailing changes with the season and the company: check it before you set off in the morning, so you can plan your return to the port without rushing.

Tips for the day

  • Check outbound and return ferry times before you travel.
  • Vehicle and suitcase must be collected by 7pm: if you want dinner on the island, pick up your suitcase first.
  • At Corricella and Pozzo Vecchio cove you walk down: the vehicle stays at the top.
  • Bring swimwear and a towel: the swim is in the afternoon.
  • By electric scooter each leg takes about 10 minutes, 5 from Terra Murata to Corricella.
