How to get to Chiaia beach
Chiaia can only be reached on foot or by sea: 182 steps from Piazza Olmo or from via dei Bagni. Your vehicle gets you to the top in about 10–15 minutes.

Step by step
Start at Via Roma 120
Leave your suitcase in storage: nobody takes a suitcase down those steps.
Ride to the top
About 15 minutes by e-bike, 10 by scooter, towards Piazza Olmo.
Leave your vehicle before the steps
RentEMZ e-bikes come with a lock.
Walk down the 182 steps
At the bottom is the beach tucked into its bay. Coming back the steps are uphill: keep that in mind in the afternoon.
Good to know
- Bring water and travel light: the climb back up is the hard part.
- It is the most sheltered beach on the island.
- Vehicles and luggage go back to the port by 7pm.

RentEMZ is at Via Roma 120, a short walk from the Marina Grande landing. Step off the ferry, leave your bags and set off by e-bike or electric scooter: pick them up by 7pm and you are already at the pier.
